I know, I get it! Wedding planning can be overwhelming, exhausting and just plain hard. I’ve definitely experienced the stress you go through myself when I was planning our elopement back in December! So, here are three awesome wedding planning tips from a wedding planner herself, Alyssa Gore. Planner from the Charleston location of Stunning and Brilliant Events. She gave a few basic tips, to help with overwhelm and how to get started!
1. I’m Engaged…What Now!? I can say without a doubt that the date, venue, and budget will set the tone for the rest of your planning process. Start there! Of course planners can always help you with these beginning steps if you choose to hire a full or partial planner!
2. Take a breather!! Planning can be the biggest task for most, we get it! It is what we do day to day, so we understand that it can be really hard when it is on top of family, friends, work, and anything else our clients have going on! It is so important to take brain breaks and to remember that you can do it! Use resources such as to-do lists to keep you on track, and The Knot/Wedding Wire (which will now become WeddingPro) for all of your researching needs. Allow yourself to take some time away from it all, and breathe! It is going to be an amazing day!
3. Hire a planner!! We have no doubt that our clients are fabulous planners, but there is no better feeling than being able to relax, kick your feet back, and sip some champagne while we do the work for you. Even if it is just month-of, our clients feel the difference when they have a planner!! We do realize that hiring a planner can be an extra expense to most, but you will see that the expense goes a long way, inclusive of us being able to provide you with the best deal possible on all of your other vendors. We work at least 14 hours the day-of to make sure clients are as happy as can be! It is worth every penny!
Alyssa, What propels your heart to this work? Oh my gosh…where do I even begin! I have loved planning and organizing since day one. For as long as I can remember, I have been buying a planner to plan out every day of the year ahead. When I was in college, I loved being a leader and was actually the Director of Social Enrichment for my sorority. That truly started my passion for the industry! Shortly after, I started my journey with S&B Events and have loved watching our Charleston location grow since then!! Knowing that my clients trust me, feel comfortable with me, and can breathe knowing they have my assistance is so rewarding. It is so important to me that my clients know they can come to me with absolutely anything and de-stress! I absolutely love my job and love watching the big day come to life! I wouldn’t change it for the world 🙂 If you are interested in S&B Events, please take a look at our website! You can inquire with us there 🙂 http://www.stunningandbrilliantevents.com
