With the rise of elopements and micro weddings in 2020 that seem to be sticking around for 2021, you’re faced with a whole new set of wedding planning standards and challenges. One of those challenges: finding a dress that you can take home in time for your elopement! I know there are plenty of wedding dresses in Lubbock, but you need yours now! Queue Hello Honey to save the day. Hello Honey is an off the rack wedding dress boutique. This means that not only is every single dress is take home ready, but comes along with the experience that every bride deserves!
When I asked Katie (the owner of Hello Honey & the sweetest person you’ll seriously ever meet!) what makes Hello Honey unique, this is what she had to say: “At Hello Honey, we believe that no matter the budget or length of engagement, EVERY bride deserves a beautiful dress and experience! As an intimate boutique, our stylists have the ability to work one-on-one with brides to help them in search of their perfect dress! Our gowns are all sold off-the-rack so brides save the 5+ month process it can typically take when ordering a dress.”
Love it! Rather than going to a run of the mill bridal shop, this boutique is focused on contributing to your full bridal experience! Which I personally think, as an elopement bride myself, is even more important when you’re not having a traditional wedding. Adding in the experiences to make the whole process feel as special as possible is so important.
What I also love is Katie’s advice that she wishes she could give to every bride: “Look for a dress that makes you feel like yourself AND like a bride. It’s the one day that you get to have your bridal moment!” Trying to find a wedding dress is exciting! But can definitely become overwhelming under certain circumstances. Various family members opinions and wanting it to be *perfect*. But what I love is that Katie and her team are so passionate about what they do and ultimately they want to help you find the perfect dress that is you. They’re truly the best (and did I mention the sweetest?!)
“Owner Katie Joiner started working in the bridal industry in 2016 at a bridal shop in Austin called Blue Bridal Boutique. After falling in love with helping brides find their dream dress, she decided to move back to her hometown of Lubbock to open her own shop! Lillie’s Bridal Boutique was opened in late 2019 carrying designer gowns that all require special ordering, which can take up to 6 months. Katie discovered a need for brides who have shorter timelines but still wanted a beautiful dress, so Hello Honey Off-The-Rack was born a year later in November 2020! It’s been Katie’s dream come true serving all kinds of brides in West Texas and she and her team aim to make every brides experience nothing short of fabulous!”
